Hey everyone,
Sorry for not emailing last week. It got kind of crazy last p-day. We had two elders move into our apartment, our car broke down, we didn't have access to wifi for most of the day, and we found two new people to teach. We did have transfer news yesterday and I will be staying in the same area with Elder Kirby which will be great!
It's been a crazy week, but it's been great. We had a Baptism last Saturday which was amazing, and we just started teaching a few new people. The Lord has really blessed us and we are having more success than we ever had before.
We have been working to help assist the members around us which has been great and has also helped us get to know them. From sharing messages to laying sod, it's been cool to learn everyone's story and past. We met converts from Romania, Russia, Brazil, England and more. The light that enters these people's hearts and minds when they talk about the gospel and their testimonies is special. I feel like I have known the members here for 10 years not 3 months.
We started teaching three new people this week, and a couple of them came to church for the first time! Teaching and sharing my beliefs has been a real testimony builder and I am grateful to be here in Utah.
Serving around so many members has been a great learning experience and a way to see how leadership should work and how it can be maximized to assist the people around them. I have also been studying D&C 4,6,84,88 and it has been incredible to study about missionary work, the priesthood and the roles all of us share. I love it here in Utah and I am so grateful to be able to serve!
