Hello!
Sorry for not writing for so long. It has been kind of crazy but let me fill you in on what's been happening. I got a new companion named Elder Williams. He is originally from Oklahoma and has been out for about 5 months. He is great and a hard worker. He is really big into running. I also got a new roommate, and his name is Elder Dutchak. He is really funny and makes a great companion for Elder Davenport.
These past few weeks have been filled with interviews, temple visit, meeting people and putting people on date for baptism.
We currently have two people on date for baptism, who both have interesting situations. The first is a nice lady whose entire family is nonmembers, but she wants to join the church to better serve others and build her relationship with Christ. She actually asked us when she could be baptized! She has a very good memory and loves to sing and compose music. I think she has about 13,000 followers on Spotify now.
The second person we are teaching is a great guy from Price. He grew up in the church his whole life (though it sounds like his family was a bit inactive). He was wanting to go to the temple so he met with his bishop who informed him he had never been baptized! At first he thought they might have lost his records or something but it turns out he was blessed but never baptized. So we are working to give him the discussions - though it's kind of funny since he already knows everything.
We were able to go to the temple this week, which was great. The spirit is always incredible inside and it's amazing how much we can learn in there. It's amazing how they make it possible for people with disabilities to do everything, too. I love that!
The mission is pretty excited because Elder Bednar is coming this week to speak to our mission. We will be able to shake his hand and hear him speak for 3 hours!
